Description

This deluxe edition brings together the two volumes " Solitudes I & II " signed by Vincent Munier in an elegant box, made by the prestigious French bookbinder Clément. It is limited to 100 copies.

Two fine art prints, also signed and numbered by the photographer, accompany the boxed set: a vertical image from volume I and a horizontal image from volume II, printed on Hahnemühle Fine-Art paper (Photo Rag Bright White). Size of the prints: 15.5 x 31 cm.

Solitudes I & II:

These two bilingual books (French and English) present the work of photographer Vincent Munier in an original format: one vertical volume, the other horizontal.

Animal shadows and fine portraits, moving silhouettes in the mist and camouflaged beasts give life to these two reveries on paper. Two complementary books that compose a brilliant picture of vast solitudes, sublimated by poetic thoughts chosen by Matthieu Ricard.

The first volume goes straight up to the sky. The eye is guided along the branches, tumbles with a waterfall, falls with the snow and happily follows the design of the shoreline or the outline of the stones.

The second volume caresses the earth. The horizon, the architect of each image, invites the eye to get lost in the storm, to merge with the mountain ridges or the white ice floe, and to contemplate the infinite.
