This film offers an immersion in the breathtaking scenery of the Cantabrian Mountain Range in northern Spain. It offers a unique naturalist experience to meet the cliff bear. In the wake of this emblematic and recurring animal figure, we discover natural environments with a primitive vibrancy, where flora and fauna are witnesses of a preserved nature. On the slopes of this massif live also the Grey Wolf, the European Otter, the Griffon Vulture or the Black Tit. All of them contribute to the impression of an original setting in which man also has his place. The film is based on the crossed discourses of four characters, French and Spanish, with an intimate vision of the wild world. It questions our relationship with nature and the idea of a possible harmony.

This film immerses us in one of the wildest and most mysterious places in Europe, the Cantabrian mountain range. In the manner of an unprecedented naturalist discovery, the images transport us into a magical universe, where nature has remained intact over the years... We follow, over the seasons, an emblematic animal figure that has adapted to this vertiginous territory: the cliff bear. It is not uncommon to observe him climbing the highest walls, strolling along the rocky plumb line, perched above the void. We know the bear is powerful, it is surprising to see him so agile.

If the Cantabrian mountain range is the setting of the film and the bear of the cliffs is the wild figure, the human dimension is carried by four French and Spanish characters who have in common that they live alongside the bears and in the heart of the Cantabrian mountains, always looking at the mountains, the seasonal flowers or the passing animals. Some seek out the bear, observe and study it; others live alongside it without really seeing it or only perceiving its enigmatic presence. But all have a relationship, direct or indirect, with him. And all have an intimate, personal vision of nature.

This film shows us natural environments with a primitive vibrancy, where fauna and flora are witnesses of ancient times. The grey wolf, the capercaillie, the deer and the ibex, the griffon vulture and the black woodpecker also live in this steep massif. The characters are filmed in their environment, at home, or when they travel in the mountains. They intertwine throughout the film, their words testifying to both their feelings and their relationship with nature. The bear, which they have sometimes crossed paths with, is a common thread. As seasonal situations and personal quests arise, we meet each of these characters in turn: they are in turn the bearers of explanations about their surroundings, sowers of anecdotes and the successive fragments of their discourse weave a mosaic narrative.
