  De crépuscule en crépuscule

A journey from dusk to dusk including 40 pictures... The gostly silhouette of a deer coming out of the forest at dawn, a snowy owl waking up as the storm goes away, Ethiopian wolves hunting during a cloudy night... Twilight atmospheres over such different landscapes. From the norwegian tundra to the african steppe, Vincent Munier offers a similar approach, and everything is here a page ahead. First published as an exhibition catalog, this book is an original creation of its own, with Vincent's worldwide photographic work, but also texts by Pierre Pelot, famous writer also coming from the Vosges mountains.

  Au fil des songes

A photographic work carried out by Michel and Vincent MUNIER, together with soft poems by CharlElie COUTURE. Amazing pictures and subtle words take the reader to a journey in to a secret, fragile and ignored nature. An unreal world which however stands on our doorstep. All these photographs were shot in Lorraine, on the ponds, the peat bogs, or in the old forests of Eastern France. Primitive accents.. Let us share unique moments, in the private world of lynx, foxes, woodpeckers, owls... It took many years to Michel and Vincent MUNIER to gather this material. Passion and dedication.

This book is the first release by Kobalann Publishing, created by Vincent Munier himself. Limited distribution, almost exclusive on this site with signed copies.

  White Nature

White Nature is the product of Vincent's desire to seek out images in inclement weather
and rough places in mist and snow. He is deeply fascinated by snowy white landscapes.
For him white is not just a colour but the sum of all existing colours. White is not just
a cover but a whole world in itself, where you can find small signs of life
in the most unexpected places.

With White Nature, Vincent takes us on a tour of a silent, frozen world.
From the Far East to the Wild West, via the craggy peaks of the European Vosges mountains,
we encounter swans, cranes, eagles, chamois, foxes, and many other animals in the hush
of their stunning, snowbound habitats.

Shadows, shapes, contours, and the occasional flash of color are all that reveal
the creatures huddled into the snow and braced against the wind, quite in their element
in the elements.

  Clair de Brume

Republished after a first release at the end of 2007, Clair de Brume explores the strangest
and most attractive side of the Vosges mountains, when dawn shines with frost after a long
winter night, when the twilight agitates ghostly silhouettes, or when moving fogs play
with the light.

From the first to the last image, Clair de Brume is a poetic anthem to a nature still little glorified, where rare visions follow one another. Between ferns and bilberries, a capercaillie launches its rustic song. Perched on its rock, a chamois contemplates the valley. Deers appear in the cottony veil
of the fogs. Further, a blue tit flies over a frozen peat bog
...

Father and son, Michel and Vincent Munier walk around their native Vosges mountains since years, visiting and capturing the snowy slopes, the mossy underwoods, or the less accessible forests.
They deliver here a vibrating testimony to the diversity of the old forests.

  Kamtchatka
La vie sauvage aux confins du monde

Kamchatka, a 1.250 kilometre peninsula located on the oriental coast of Russia, remains as one of the rare areas in the world where nature is still untouched. And the brown bear is "the boss" in this wild part of the world.

After a fourth journey on this distant peninsula, here is Vincent's last book. For french readers...

« Kamchatka symbolized for me one of the last virgin lands of the planet. To go there was a dream, but the reality of this big and wild territory exceeded my imagination. The tundra as far as the eye can see, the active volcanoes, the changeable atmospheres, the bear Kobalan in its realm, and the fascinating nomadic evens people, who welcomed me... I only wish these images could pass a little part of my dream on ! »
